Big News!

Despite the rain and the cancellation of Lowther's last day, Chris and I had a rather eventful time... and I don't just mean the parties.

This is Whisper. She's 15 weeks old and my next trial hope! Her dad Ben just came 16th in the English National which means that he is the reserve for the English Trial Team in the International. Her mother, for those of you who happen to be sheepdog nuts, is litter sister to Arthur Temple's Lassie II. She hasn't been out trialling yet.

Whisper is simply the cuddliest pup I've ever met. She loves being right under your feet or on your knee all the time. However, she also showed a keen interest in sheep today when I took her to watch her dad in a local trial. He did very well and she was captivated by the white woolly things running past.

Fox so far does not share Chris and my enthusiasm for this funny little fluffy thing which has suddenly appeared, but he'll come round... I hope!

Oh, and Chris and I got engaged!

Jenny - what is this "Oh - and Chris and I got engaged" snuck in at the end - I almost missed it - CONGRATULATIONS!! We'll be watching for updates on all the proceedings.

And the pup is adorable. Funny - I just sold my Border Collie. Her name was Wisp - and we called her Whisper.
I'm sure that Fox will warm to her soon. Congratulations all around.

Like Tammy, I zoomed in on the BIG news at the end! You funny girl, spending most of your words on the new DOG, not the soon-to-be HUSBAND. She is cute, though. :-)

LOL, I knew I'd get stick for that. He did get me one of those little round sparkley things as well as a puppy, and made a very romantic speech. We're very happy :o)

Aw Jenny - that is so great. So have you set a date and all that stuff?
How sweet to get you a puppy as well.
Now - you'll have to post a picture of your sparkler too - so we can all ooh and aah over it.

What wonderful news!

Whisper is lovely. She reminds me (conformation wise) of Bellamica as a young pup. I love her markings!

Oh yeah ~ congratulations on the engagement too...
