I've been asked for a photo of the ring, so here it is... or near enough, mine is in yellow gold with sapphires and diamonds. We chose it partly because it has no "sticky out bits" that could get caught on things, and the stones are embedded in it so I can't loose them!

Simply elegant, Jenny! The yellow gold with diamonds and sapphires sounds stunning. I truly do congratulate you and Chris and wish you many, MANY years of loving each other.
So beautiful, congrats!
Very pretty (even if I really want to see the REAL ring). No sticky-out parts are good.... I'm hard enough on a wristwatch; no jewelry for me!
Glad you like it folks, I had seen one that I liked with a "big rock" on it, but Chris queried whether it would catch on things (eg, sheep!) and I said that I wouldn't wear it everyday. He then countered that he wasn't buying me and engagement ring that I wouldn't wear. Fair point! I love this one, it's so pretty and comfy to wear.
OMG! What did I miss? I haven't had much time to read blogs lately. Congrats! The ring is stunning!
Oh Jenny - that's absolutely beautiful. I agree about the sticky out parts. I actually have 3 sets of rings - my original set with the sticky out parts that I bang on everything (I only wear it now for dress) - a more casual set for wearing to work - and a very simple band for everywhere else that I can bang around. Silly to have 3 sets - but it works. Congratulations again!!!
Awww Jenny - congrats are in order dear! Any thoughts as to a date? I'll come to the wedding bringing gifts if it's around the 2nd of November, ok?? HAHAHA!!
Hi Jen. Don't know about rings, however just wanted to say Chris you lucky man! Looking forward to the day. I'm on count down to a northern drinking session, yes I will play at your wedding, unplugged or 200 watts its up to you. Leah says Hi and Thomas wants to know when your coming swimming again:) Emma has got a open top sports car with no money to put the fuel in, so funny!
Bristol City for the cup, well a cup of tea atleast.
Rock on Chris.
Beautiful!!! And perfectly practical for an active person like you. My ring is from pre-farm days, and it is so impractical. I almost lost the middle diamond once, so I never wear it outside now. :(
Congratulations!
