Voles Live!

Ok, so I'm showing you yet more photos of poo! But this is proof that my released voles are alive and well in the streams at Warcop. I even managed to spot one of the little fuzzys themselves. So here is another photo of the animal itself.

Smali Shetland Flock

I keep pedigree Shetland Sheep and am breeding for super conformation, soft fine fleece with good length and fabulous patterns!

I worked a lot with sheep as a teenager: Joan Hadwin, a local shepherd, and her North Country Cheviots taught me an awful lot. I caught the Rare Breed bug from Jennie Hill who kindly let me tag after her on her farm and take her Shetlands, North Ronaldsays and Hebrideans into the show ring.

Our Shetland Sheep are registered with the Shetland Sheep Society. There is more information about this wonderful and ancient breed on the SSS website. "Smali" is the Old Norse word for "sheep".
