Snow photos as promised!

I have to admit to being a little distracted from my blogging activities these last few days. However, I did say that I would post photos of us and the dogs enjoying the snow, so here we all are!

Smali Shetland Flock

I keep pedigree Shetland Sheep and am breeding for super conformation, soft fine fleece with good length and fabulous patterns!

I worked a lot with sheep as a teenager: Joan Hadwin, a local shepherd, and her North Country Cheviots taught me an awful lot. I caught the Rare Breed bug from Jennie Hill who kindly let me tag after her on her farm and take her Shetlands, North Ronaldsays and Hebrideans into the show ring.

Our Shetland Sheep are registered with the Shetland Sheep Society. There is more information about this wonderful and ancient breed on the SSS website. "Smali" is the Old Norse word for "sheep".
