The sun has been shining and providing perfect weather for lambs to be born...
And yet we are still waiting...
And waiting...
And waiting!
So what have I been doing while I've been waiting?
A bit of this...
a bit of that...
A bit of admiring my coming fleece "crop"...
And a spot of sight seeing around Oban with my Mam and sister Kate when they came to visit...
Bizzarely, since I did pretty much nothing but work last year and rarely had a whole day to myself, I still hadn't looked around our closest big town.
It's actually lovely, at least on a sunny day, and we had a really nice time together exploring.
And now the rain has blown in so you can guarantee that lambs will begin appearing!

Love your pictures again Jenny. I can remember being a 'lady-in-waiting' myself all those years ago - and just think how an elephant must feel - is it true that they're pregnant for 7 years? Glad you managed to take some time out with your family.
OH I remember waiting for what seemed like eternity then all go and no stopping until I didn't know what time of day let alone what day of the week it was! Bizarrely I miss it...
Hello, I love your blog and the pictures. I just had my last lamb of the season. I am a Wisconsin USA farmer. I recently switched from suffolk to a shetland /border leichester flock. I am learning much from other wool farmers. Nice to meet you. Pam
Looks like the waiting has been much more fun for you than for the "girls"...how much longer?
