The storms just keep brewing

You'd think that Chris and I would be front of the que right now for some good news but it isn't to be. Chris's dad, who has been disabled since he was 18 following a serious accident, is in intensive care. Chris has gone down to Liverpool to be with his family who are taking turns to sit by his bedside and I'll be attempting, one-leggedly, to get down to him tomorrow.

As I write this I've just had a phonecall to tell me that he has died. I don't know what else to say. Full stop.

wow. Don't say 'what's next' but 'it can only get better'. My Grandpa always says' Better days ahead'. I know that doesn't help the hurt and loss. I'm so sorry.

Oh God Bless you both! This has been some tough year. Like Garrets grandpa there is a silver lining out there soon.

You two must be close to staggering about now. I'm so sorry, and hope the winter, cold as it is, brings cheerier times. I AM glad Chris was able to be there to say good-bye; that is a precious gift to both.

Ahhh Jenny - you have been through so much this year. I am only now catching up on my blog reading and I am so sorry to hear about Chris's Dad. I am also so sorry to hear about your ankle. You are such an active person that it must be hard for you to be confined. I do hope that from now on things will look up for you and that next year will be far better than this one has been. By the way I like the look of Galtress Ptolemy even though I know nothing about sheep.
